Ribbit Ribbit

I bought this outfit for our little peanut a while back.

I love the colors, the cute little frog, and the little froggie feet (which you can’t really see in the picture).  And I’m absolutely certain that this guy will be THE Prince Charming!  He’s going to put Prince William and Prince Harry to shame.

I’m not sure if this will be his coming home outfit or not.  We have a total of 3 to choose from.  Yes….I’ve only purchased 3 outfits so far (after having given away ALL the baby stuff after Caleb was born)!  I haven’t found a lot that really grabs me, and I worry about how the weather will be for those first few weeks.  So, we’ll have to manage with what we’ve got for a while.

But I digress.  What this is all really about is to show you what I made to go along with the outfit.  I have always crocheted something for each of my babies.  I did a blanket for Emily, a blanket for Josh, Rachel’s blessing dress, and for some reason I can’t think of what I did for Caleb.  Hmm…maybe I didn’t do anything for him?!?  (Help!!!)

Hats seem to be all the rage for babies right now, so I decided a frog hat would be perfect.  I found a pattern on the internet and whipped it out over the weekend.  And here’s the final product!

I just hope it won’t drown his head!  You just never know how things will fit, especially on heads.  I told Jared I needed a little newborn to try it out on.  He told me I’d just have to wait.  Uh, yeah.  I wasn’t meaning OUR baby!  But it would be so nice to have him in my arms and have this all over with.  Just sayin’.

Mr. Chubby Cheeks

Take a look at the cheeks on this guy!!

ultrasound 3-14

Are those not THE cutest things!?!?  I still can’t believe how filled out he looks!  They estimated him as weighing over 5 pounds – and we’ve still got a good 5-6 weeks to go!  Oh my!

The tech (who I loved and wish would have done all the previous ultrasounds) said he’s got a full head of hair!  I sure hope she’s right!

Everything looks the same, so the doc. felt there wouldn’t be a need to continue with the ultrasounds.  Shucks!  It has been nice to get a peek at him every month or so.

I also get 2 more appointments with my regular OB – yay!!!  Frosting on the cake for today!

32 Weeks and Counting

I had what may be my last appointment with my regular OB today (although we’re going to try to squeeze in at least one more appt…hopefully).  SAD day for sure!  I love Dr. Horsley and can’t believe I have to trust someone else to deliver this baby!  He is really the best doc. I’ve ever come across.  EVER!!  I know he genuinely cares (and it doesn’t hurt that he knows his stuff).  I’m pretty sure he’s not in his job for the money.

Anyway…things are as they should be.  I can’t believe it’s only 6-7 weeks until we get to meet this little guy!  I’m feeling pretty DONE with being pregnant, but will hang in there until it’s time.

I only have a million things swirling around in my head, so we’re doing pretty good.  And someday (soon!) we’re going to get those last few things done.  It might be the day he’s born, or maybe even the day after, but they WILL get done!  Afterall, we can’t bring him home without a carseat!

As Promised…

Here is a picture of the new do.  Sorry it took so long – I just don’t like pictures of myself, and I’m really not good at taking them of myself either.  I had to take at least 10 to get a decent one!
