The View From My Window

We had some rain yesterday, and around 8:30 p.m. this is what we saw out our back window!

This picture really doesn't do it justice. I've never seen a double rainbow like this before! While the one to the left was the most vibrant, they were both easy to see and very colorful.
What a great way to end the day!

Who Ordered Snow????

We woke up to a skiff of snow yesterday - the very first snow of the season. We thought it would be melted by lunch-time. WRONG!! It just kept coming down - it felt like December or January!

Here is what it looked like last night,

And this morning!

It looks like about 3 inches! I guess next time it snows, I shouldn't tell the kids that I'm sure it will melt quickly, because I sure didn't hear the end of it yesterday!
I let them take their snow boots to school today (in the hopes of making up for it)!

Jumping for Joy

This is what seeing the end of winter makes me feel like...

The Streak Ends

I brought Emily home from Church today because she doesn't feel well. There go my thoughts of all illnesses leaving with January.

I was starting to feel a little giddy when we made it to 10 days with no one being sick. That was yesterday. I guess I didn't knock on wood hard enough or long enough.

Are you starting to see why I dislike winter so much??!!?!

I want SPRING,
I want SUNSHINE,
WARMER WEATHER,
CLEANER AIR!!

Merry Christmas...in September???

Look what we woke up to this morning!! I know it's a little hard to tell, but that is really SNOW!! I know it's good for us, but I'm just not ready for winter to start when it's barely the first day of fall!! Let's hope this is not an indicator of the kind of winter we'll have this year.
